Vice President
Santiago began his career directing and producing music videos, short-films
and TV ads before his journey into independent cinema. His most notable
work producing feature films include: The Boy (2015) with SpectreVision,
Elijah Wood's production company, credited as associate producer; City of
Dead Men (2016) starred by Diego Boneta (Luis Miguel on Netflix) and
Jackson Rathbone (Twilight), distributed by Gravitas Ventures and the
critically acclaimed Monos (2019), shortlisted in the 2020 OSCARS for Best
International Film and GOYA awards nominee for Best Iberoamerican Film.
Santiago’s work has been awarded at the Sundance Film Festival, Havana
Film Festival, BFI London Film Festival, Berlinale, Palm Spring International
Film Festival, the Latin Grammys and the MTV European Awards among
others.
In 2016 he co-founded Mowies.com, a disruptive VOD platform for the
digital distribution of audiovisual content. The platform became
the biggest online marketplace for independent latin american films and
short-films.
Currently the Vice-President of Ntertain Studios, a media company founded
by Tommy Mottola, Lex Borrero from Neon16 and Range Media Partners.
With Ntertain, he is currently showrunning and directing the episodic series Los Montaner for Disney+ and has written
and executive produced their Netflix's music competition La Firma and their
Paramount+ mini-series Thalia’s Mixtape: The Soundtrack of your Life.
